SOS - Animal lover's UNITE!!!

Dear friend, Did you know that Iceland recently started whaling again? I just took action online to tell Japanese, Norway and Iceland's Minister of Fisheries that allowing whaling to resume will have a negative impact not only on whale populations -- already facing so many other threats -- but also on their international image. Read more by directing your good self to this links; http://www.hsus.org/marine_mammals/save_whales_not_whaling/take_action/ We must tell these BIG culprits to stop needlessly killing whales. Please help -- it will only take a minute to sign the petition and spread the words around, puhleeezzz! Thank you from the bottom of my HEART!!!

My two furry babies :)

My two cats are purely adorable, they has their own characters, cranky at one time and too friendly on the other time, especially the 6 1/2 yrs old little princess 'MiniMi". She is like, I'm the Princess in da house so gimme what I ask for - my favorite anchovies..LOL. Duh....and I say, I'm the Queen of da house and you can sit there and wait! She always pester me on daily basis for her fav Anchovies - I mean she wants lot of it! Which i tried to give her small portion, not good for her health - the salty effects, if you know what I mean? The other cat of mine are an 8 years old BigD, he is a giant of a cat along with a big heart but he is a scaridy cat, scared of almost everything...hehehehe. My poor BigD have a glaucoma (he is on eye drop medication's atm), i read lotsa articles about senior cat now, how to take care of them. Not sure what would I do in the progress of my cats getting older and older. I am not sure what to expect when the time comes, talking about it makes my heart full with sorrow :( When i first got BigD, he was only 3 mths old, a cute little British short hair, fulls of naughty tricks, that is how I remember him 8 year ago. Time has been good to BigD, I took care of him and MiniMi really good, makes sure they have plenty of everything I could afford to provide. BigD still runs around the house as per normal even that he cant see clearly now, the special extra senses that cats have. I am giving both of my cats extra attention lately, making sure they are being taken care more than before as they are growing slowly to their golden age.

My drama's :)

We love Pets (in my case, CATS) or candy (in my case, LICORICE) and I have a story to tell. This happened to my mom-in-law (M-I-L) and me, when she is almost out of her favorite stocks of Hershey Twizzler Licorice which she brought along while visiting me. So we headed out to the famous tourist attraction center, Twin Towers (since I couldn’t find any sites selling it locally after google-ing, we thought well, that is the happening place and almost everything is there...duh, we were so wrong!!). To our amazed, they don’t sell any brands of Licorice! Later we went around town looking if there are other stores selling it but NADA!! Ever since then, more than a year ago, I still couldn’t find it locally, hmmmmm.... So I decided to have myself a "break that barrier down” and start an easy reach to these items for everyone. I hope that no ones have faced unnecessary scenarios like I did together with my M-I-L. She is Caucasian woman, loves her diet food supplements and hates it when there are no Licorice handy, LOL.

Another story is; I have a cat flap in my apartment, BIG thanks to my M-I-L. It does saves me heaps on electric bills (my cats have their litter box in the wet kitchen, I used to have the back door partly cracked open), and it takes toll on my A/C cooling, not to mention the bills!! I found out not many Pet lovers I know locally have this particular “cute and easy install” item. I installed the cat flap in less than 20 minutes. There are plenty of “cute but difficult to get” Pet products that are not in the local market and I might consider bringing it locally as well. Now back to Licorice, I love it but it takes weeks being freight forwarded to me from the States. Not convenience when it’s sent in small amount, so I decided to have a varieties of these Australian Kookaburra, probably some American Licorice in bulk next time around (depending on my budgets) ;p. I will be updating my contact on the blogs soon. In the meantime, I’ll bother my M-I-L for my beloved Licorice, hehehehe. It is quite a hassle, time consuming and of course, I am impatience, the "WAITING MODE" syndromes...if you know what I mean.

I’m initiating a little kinda easing the hassle solutions, among the locals and expatriates who love these favors, Pet, Licorice lover’s, whoever, so they can reach out easily, "CONVENIENCE" is the word, I would reckon. I’m in the process of dealing with the manufacturer atm, (i.e. cat flap, cat grass, licorice varieties, etc) which are basically none/hard to find locally. My website is under progress. In near future all old and new friends can start ordering online from the comfort of their cozy home. Comfort comes in all terms, mentally, hassle free and time consuming free, heart attack free (kidding), yadda, yadda, yadda and what not. ;) Well what do you think? Glad to accept any feedbacks. A little outcome from you people out there, who are COOLIO about my threads, will help!

P/s: I have grown a cat grass for my cats at home, lemme try and take the picture of it and post it here (easy instructions on how to grow these grass from Japan which I recently managed to buy it locally at one of the pet shop nearby :}
